Workshop on Engendering Energy Policy in Swaziland Features in Press

The Swaziland Renewable Energy Association of Swaziland holds five-day workshop on Engendering Energy Policy and Energy Advocacy. The event was featured in the Swazi News, Sat 9 Sept 2006.

The five-day workshop on Engendering Energy Policy and Energy Advocacy taking place under the TIE-ENERGIA project was held in September 2006. The event was featured in the Swazi News, Sat 9 Sept 2006. The photo-record from the event includes pictures of of workshop facilitator and REASWA projects co-ordinator Khetsiwe Khumalo, chairperson and energy specialist Seth Maphalala, and Practical Action's Lydia Muchiri.

The workshop included a field-trip in which delegates at the workshop learnt about the Magugu Dam Project and its social and economic impacts in relation to gender and energy issues, and heard from Tintsaba Crafts director who works with 750 rural women, and shared her experience on gender issues in business and communities.
